Most of what we install out here goes into a house at the end of a road that was not built for a truck. Gravel drives, switchbacks, a turnaround that is really somebody's yard — we template and install in it every week, and our crews plan the carry before they plan the cut. If you are worried your driveway is the problem, it almost certainly is not; tell us about it when you call and we will come look.
Between bookings
A lot of Sapphire owners are working around a booking calendar rather than around themselves. Tell us the gap you have and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it — template to install usually runs about a week, and we would rather turn a date down than take one we cannot make.
Winter and the weather
At Sapphire's elevation, winter access is a real scheduling factor and we treat it as one. If a template or an install falls on a bad-weather day we will move it rather than risk a slab, and we will tell you as early as we can see it coming.
Local history
A bit of Sapphire history
Around 1900 the area of lakes and resort hotels along the Jackson and Transylvania county line, including the Sapphire Inn and the Fairfield Inn, was promoted as the Sapphire Country. About four miles of the Horsepasture River, from NC 281 down to Lake Jocassee, are part of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. Gorges State Park, near Sapphire, was created in 1999 on land acquired from Duke Energy.

We wanted to replace our counter tops and everyone suggested Murphy Granite outlet. We were not disappointed from the beginning to the install. Joel was our sales person and was very helpful and helped us thru the process.
Great selection, Awesome experience, the installer's Eric & Jacob did a fantastic job on the install! There were no issues from start to finish with the countertops. If you are in need of Granite countertops go see the staff at Murphy Granite.
