Pick Ups

Pickup orders are typically small fabrication jobs under 20 square feet. They receive a discount because templating and installation are not included.

Before you come

What to know about a pickup order

Everything below applies to a countertop you are collecting from the shop yourself.

Order information

  • We fabricate strictly to the measurements or template you provide — including sink center, sink setback, backsplash measurements, and faucet hole locations and count. You may also provide a physical template.
  • We do not verify measurements for pickup orders. Double-check all measurements and templates before submitting your order.
  • Homes are rarely perfectly square — walls bow and corners drift from 90°. Small gaps can form between countertop and wall; these are usually covered by backsplash, trim, or caulking during installation.

Deposits and payment

  • A 50% deposit is required when the order is placed.
  • The remaining balance is due at pickup.
  • Credit card payments are subject to a 3.75% processing fee.

Fabrication time

  • Typical fabrication time is approximately 2 weeks.
  • Pickup orders are worked into the shop schedule between larger installation jobs, so times can vary with shop workload.

Sink information

  • If you are providing your own sink, it must be in our shop before fabrication begins.
  • Standard sink setback is about 4 inches from the front edge of the countertop unless otherwise specified.
  • We need the sink-center measurement: measure from the side of the vanity to the center of the sink-base cabinet. On double-door sink bases, the sink center is usually where the two doors meet.
  • In most cases sinks are centered on the vanity, especially when cabinet doors below need to open and close properly.

Sink attachment

  • We attach the sink to the countertop unless you request otherwise.
  • If you prefer to attach the sink yourself, tell us when placing the order.

Picking up your countertop

  • We will call and/or text when your countertop is ready.
  • Pickup hours are Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–1:00 PM and 1:30 PM–4:00 PM.
  • Final payment is due at pickup.
  • Allow about 30 minutes for us to prepare your countertop — we clean the stone because of shop dust.

Transportation and responsibility

  • We may help load the countertop into your vehicle.
  • Once loaded, Murphy Granite Outlet is not responsible for damage during transport, handling, or installation.

Transporting your countertop safely

  • Transport the countertop standing on its long edge, not lying flat.
  • Pad underneath the stone with blankets, foam, or cardboard.
  • Secure the countertop so it cannot move during transport.
  • Larger pieces may need more than one person to safely unload and install.
