Countertops in the mountains
Working in the north Georgia mountains
A good share of the work over here is second homes and cabins, and a good share of the owners are two or three hours away when the template happens. We are used to that. We will work with a key, a lockbox, a builder, or a neighbor, send photos at each stage, and confirm the install day well ahead so nobody is driving up from Atlanta for nothing.
Lake houses
Blue Ridge Lake houses tend to be open-plan with a big island and a lot of glass, which means the seam placement and the way the stone reads in daylight matter more than they do in a closed kitchen. We lay slabs out for the light the room actually gets, not the light in the yard.
Between bookings
A lot of Morganton owners are working around a booking calendar rather than around themselves. Tell us the gap you have and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it — template to install usually runs about a week, and we would rather turn a date down than take one we cannot make.
Local history
A bit of Morganton history
Morganton was the first seat of Fannin County, which was formed in 1854. The county's first courthouse was built in Morganton in 1855. County voters later chose to move the seat to the new town of Blue Ridge, and the change took place in 1895.

Outstanding company with an excellent business model. From step 1 meeting with Joel and obtaining an estimate to step 2 measurements to step 3 installation by Pedro and Edwardo. Very professional, courteous, hassle free process.
We wanted to replace our counter tops and everyone suggested Murphy Granite outlet. We were not disappointed from the beginning to the install. Joel was our sales person and was very helpful and helped us thru the process.
