Countertops in the mountains
Working in the north Georgia mountains
A good share of the work over here is second homes and cabins, and a good share of the owners are two or three hours away when the template happens. We are used to that. We will work with a key, a lockbox, a builder, or a neighbor, send photos at each stage, and confirm the install day well ahead so nobody is driving up from Atlanta for nothing.
Between bookings
A lot of Mineral Bluff owners are working around a booking calendar rather than around themselves. Tell us the gap you have and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it — template to install usually runs about a week, and we would rather turn a date down than take one we cannot make.
Getting there
Mineral Bluff is the kind of address where the road decides the schedule. Long gravel runs, tight switchbacks, and a last hundred yards that sometimes has to be walked. We would rather know about it before template day than find out on install day, so mention it when you book.
Local history
A bit of Mineral Bluff history
The railroad reached Fannin County in 1886, and the Mineral Bluff Depot has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 2007. Marble and slate were mined around the town, and a quarry at Mineral Bluff produced flagstone. In 1955 a Georgia Geological Survey bulletin on the Mineral Bluff quadrangle gave the name Mineral Bluff formation to a sequence of rocks mapped there.

Great selection, Awesome experience, the installer's Eric & Jacob did a fantastic job on the install! There were no issues from start to finish with the countertops. If you are in need of Granite countertops go see the staff at Murphy Granite.
