Most of what we install out here goes into a house at the end of a road that was not built for a truck. Gravel drives, switchbacks, a turnaround that is really somebody's yard — we template and install in it every week, and our crews plan the carry before they plan the cut. If you are worried your driveway is the problem, it almost certainly is not; tell us about it when you call and we will come look.
Getting there
Brasstown is the kind of address where the road decides the schedule. Long gravel runs, tight switchbacks, and a last hundred yards that sometimes has to be walked. We would rather know about it before template day than find out on install day, so mention it when you book.
Local history
A bit of Brasstown history
In 1925 Olive Dame Campbell and Marguerite Butler founded the John C. Campbell Folk School at Brasstown, modeled on the folk schools of Denmark. Local people pledged land, materials and labor to bring the school to their community. In its early years the school taught woodcarving to people from the area, and the carving group that grew out of that work became known as the Brasstown Carvers.
