A bit of Murphy history
Murphy sits where the Valley River runs into the Hiwassee, on the site the Cherokee knew as Tlanusi'yi, the Leech Place. The town is named for Archibald D. Murphey, a North Carolina legislator, and was incorporated in 1851. The Cherokee County Courthouse, completed in 1927, is faced with blue marble quarried in the county.

Murphy Granite did a wonderful job on our granite installation. We chose the leathered finish and it's beautiful. The team they sent were professional, courteous, and informative.
We love Western NC. The tradeoff is that some things are much harder to find than in a big city, or at least that there is far less selection. With that being said Murphy Granite Outlet is an exception to that.
